Slimfast Day 6

I am writing this update after a break of a few days with the Christmas and New year period having interrupted my daily blog. How was your holiday period?

On the morning of the 6th Day of Slimfast, and as a result of the last few days where I have been incredibly gassy and have had a very ill stomach, I have come to a conclusion that slimfast is completely messing up my internal system. I think I need to get more real food into my diet. I will continue with the occasional meal replacement bars, but think for the main meals I will start eating real food in sensible portions.

Have you ever heard of a lady called Rujuta Diwekar? You can find her on twitter . She is a nutritionist I find out about when researching the fitness of a bollywood actress (Kareena Kapoor ) Any hoo..cutting a long story short she believes in eating everything in proportion (not counting calories! yay) ; concentrating on trying to source local food, eating small meals every two hours, focusing on strength training benefits and eating ghee! <-- Click this link to find out more about clarified butter if you haven't heard of it!

In summary I read her book and found it to be practical and eye opening. I have been back on her plan for the last 4 days (I am posting this update on Slimfast after a Christmas and New year break) and have found I am a lot happier ,  have more energy and generally am more content. 

Would I try Slimfast ever again? NO ! It really messed me up inside but then again it may suit you?!

Did I lose weight? Yes with a combination of exercise and Slimfast. 

Steps ahead ? Practical eating in smaller portions.
